Wiscasset Police Department reported the following for Oct. 1-17.

Arrests/Summonses

Oct. 3, Dennis Rideout Jr., 47, of Wiscasset was arrested for OUI (alcohol) and leaving the scene of an accident, by Officer Nathan Willhoite.

Oct. 4, Matthew Grasser, 29, of Alna was summonsed for Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer, by Willhoite.

Oct. 7, David Cherkis, 54, of Dresden was summonsed for Theft by Unauthorized taking or Transfer, by Willhoite.

Oct. 11, Steven Lutes, 37, of Wiscasset was arrested for Violating Condition of Release and Refusing to Sign Summons, by Officer Hunter Farrell.

Oct. 12, Benjamin A. Maddocks, 30, of Wiscasset was arrested for OUI (alcohol), by Farrell.

Accidents

Oct. 2, Willhoite responded to an accident on Federal Street. Dennis Rideout Jr., 47, of Wiscasset was traveling south and left the roadway. No injuries were reported.

Oct. 12, Chief Lawrence Hesseltine responded to an accident on Gardiner Road. Dana Bustler, 26, of Wiscasset was traveling northbound when a deer ran into his path. No injuries were reported.
