Together, Dennis Hilton, president of Cheney Financial Group, and Suzanne Strachan, Executive Vice President, hosted their annual recognition and awards dinner on November 8th to thank employees and associates for their dedicated service. The 1812 Farm was transformed to a lively crime scene by Margo Morrison, founder of Murder Mystery USA. Everyone became a suspect during the evening, under the direction of actor Jerry Caruso, who played the Detective. Team work and camaraderie, along with laughter and delicious food made for a fun-filled evening, complete with CFG team members exhibiting their dancing and acting skills.
Three locally-owned companies comprise the Cheney Financial Group; Newcastle Realty, Cheney Insurance and Newcastle Vacation Rentals. Dennis and Suzanne acknowledged the contributions of their 37 associates with high praise and gratitude. Years of Dedicated and Loyal Service awards and gifts were given to Newcastle Realty brokers Lorrie Zeiner (5 years), Lee Simard (15 years), and Bill Byrnes (20 years). Broker Debby Schling was recognized as the current top sales agent for Newcastle Realty.
From Cheney Insurance, Holly Harris was recognized for outstanding performance in the category of E-Mail Collection, Debbie Furman was recognized for her 25 years of service, and Kate Dunstan for Highest Sales Opportunity Win Percentage. Kristy Battles received the 2018 CFG President’s Award for outstanding service and enthusiasm in her role supporting all three companies. Five random guest names were drawn, and each were invited to "Come On Down!" to the famous “Wall of Cash” where they selected an envelope containing at least a $50 or $100 bill.
The evening was also used to collect a large supply of non-perishable food donations which were delivered to the Ecumenical Food Pantry in Newcastle. To learn more about the Cheney Financial Group, visit their Facebook pages or www.cheneycompanies.com.
