Art Tours & Walks 2019
BRAD BETTS/: Down East Gallery, Edgecomb.“Lilies on Long Pond,” 12 x 9 oil painted plein air from a kayak in western Maine.
Art is food for the soul ... Remember to FEED YOURS.
Where would the world be without the artist?
Through his or her imagination, skill, and curious nature, we experience beauty;
We are extended an invitation ... to explore ... to experience the world in a new and exciting way.
It’s an individualized departure from reality that takes us where our souls long to go ...
Throughout the summer months into September and early October galleries here in Midcoast Maine art abounds! It is an artist’s paradise. The light. The natural beauty. The abundance of negative ions riding on the salt-scented air ...
Art tours/walks are very popular throughout the season - in the Boothbay region this celebration of creativity is held on the first Fridays; Wiscasset’s Art Walk is the third Thursday, and for the twin villages of Newcastle and Damariscotta the fourth Friday is designated.
Each one has its own variations - special receptions, featured artists, music, dancers, live demos, food - with one thing in common: the celebration of art!
