Gulliver’s TravelsGulliver's Travels

This original movie adaptation of Jonathan Swift’s 1726 adventure novel of the same name is sure to be a crowd pleaser for all ages.

Gulliver’s Travels (1939): Gulliver washes ashore on Lilliput and attempts to prevent war between that tiny kingdom and its equally minuscule rival, Blefuscu, as well as smooth the way for the romance between the Princess and Prince of the opposing lands. In this he is alternately aided and hampered by the Lilliputian town crier and general fussbudget, Gabby. A life-threatening situation develops when the bumbling trio of Blefuscu spies manage to steal Gulliver’s pistol.

Fun fact: You may recognize some of the voices in the film from other roles; the voice of Gabby is provided by Pinto Colvig (a.k.a. the original voice of Goofy and Pluto) and Jack Mercer (better known as Popeye the Sailor and Felix the Cat) voices numerous characters in the film.
