Damariscotta Scout Pack /Cub Pack 213 are holding a spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held at American Legion Post #36 in Boothbay for 10-year-old Ian Michaud Sunday, Dec. 3 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Items will be raffled.
Ian has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer. Treatments began in early September with 10 weeks of chemotherapy to be followed by surgery and more chemotherapy. Ian and his sisters, Sofia and Evelyn, have performed with the Y Arts group. His dad, Ira, was principal at Edgecomb Eddy School until the end of the 2021-2022 school year. This year he began his first year as principal at Vassalboro Community School. Ian’s mom Kristin, is a first grade teacher at Great Salt Bay Consolidated in Damariscotta.
