Wiscasset Police Blotter Oct. 8-21
Chief Jeff Lange reported the following activity for Oct. 8 – Oct. 21:
On Oct. 15, Lawrence Eckert Sr., 67, of Wiscasset was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault and was transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail.
On Oct. 19, Michael Gagnon, 61, of Yarmouth, was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault and was transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail.
On Oct. 13, a male juvenile was summonsed for possession of marijuana.
On Oct. 13, Joshua Golden, 18, of Wiscasset, was summonsed for possession of marijuana.
On Oct. 14, Andrew Snyder, 25, of Cumberland, was summonsed for speed.
On Oct. 15, Reginald Lee, 70, of Westport Island, was summonsed for Operating After Suspension.
On Oct. 15, Michael Eckert, 42, of Wiscasset, was summonsed for Operating with a Revoked License.
On Oct. 15, Ryan Gibbs, 32, of Warren, was summonsed for Attaching False Plates.
On Oct. 20, John Dibert, 42, of Wiscasset, was summonsed for Disorderly Conduct.
On Oct. 13, John Libby, 33, of Waldoboro, was driving a blue 2011 Nissan Juke southbound on Route 1 when he rear-ended a gray 2016 Ford C-Max driven by Shekara Davis, 29, of Waldoboro. Libby was issued a summons for distracted driving.
On Oct. 18, John Bryer, 64 of Wiscasset, was backing a gray 2015 GMC pickup out of a driveway on High Street. Bryer struck a light pole knocking it off its base.
Between Oct. 8 and 21, there were 132 calls for service. Thirty-six were traffic related. Twelve were for police information or suspicious activity; five calls were for juvenile issues; three calls were for animal issues, including the euthanasia of a skunk who had been hit by a car; six calls were responding to medical emergencies; 10 calls were for citizen assistance or community policing, including Sgt. Worster attending Wiscasset Middle High School’s homecoming dance; the rest were investigations of crimes, including threatening, sex offenses, theft, harassment, criminal mischief, burglary, and drug investigations.
