Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Nine arrests
Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 709 calls for the period of Oct. 25 to Nov. 7 and year to date, LCSO has responded to 17,844 calls.
On Oct. 29, Jayson E. Perrello, 19, of Newcastle was issued a summons for Criminal Trespass, on Highland Road, Newcastle, by Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner.
On Oct. 30, Taurus G. Walls, 41, of Westbrook was issued a summons for Operating Vehicle without a License, on Middle Road, Dresden, by Deputy First Class Brian Collamore.
On Oct. 24, Ye Yan Shin (aka William Tun), 19, of Bristol was arrested for Violating a Protection Order, in Damariscotta, by Detective Scott Hayden.
On Oct. 24, Myles Jordan, 64, of Alna was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault, on Golden Ridge Road, Alna, by Detective Scott Hayden.
On Oct. 27, Daniel A. Sentell, 26, of Merritt Island, Florida was arrested on Brevard County, Florida warrant for felony Domestic Violence crimes, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
On Oct. 27, Jacob Walmer, 30, of Whitefield was arrested for Violating Condition of Release and Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon, on Heath Road, Whitefield, by Deputy First Class Brian Collamore.
On Oct. 28, Norma Carter, 27, of Waldoboro was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drug, on Flanders Corner, Waldoboro, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
On Oct. 28, Davis Crowell, 26, of Waldoboro was arrested for Burglary and Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer, on Upper East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Jonathan Colby.
On Oct. 29, Cody A. Brown, 29, of Newcastle was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault, on East Neck Road, Nobleboro, by Sgt. Mark Bridgham.
On Nov. 1, Loryn L. McCollett, 28, of Augusta was arrested for Domestic Violence Assault, on East Pond Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
On Nov. 4, Jasper T. Barber, 31, of Richmond was arrested for Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention; Assault; Violating Condition of Release and Disorderly Conduct, on Hilton Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Chase Bosse.
On Oct. 28, an accident occurred on Provost Road in Jefferson involving Ellen J. Sawyer, 65, of Belfast and Derek F. Juchnik, 25, of Newcastle. Ms. Sawyer, who was operating her 2011 Toyota Rav4, was attempting to make a left turn from Provost Road onto Bunker Hill Road, heading westbound, when she failed to see Mr. Juchnik traveling eastbound. Juchnik saw Sawyer pull out and swerved in an attempt to miss her vehicle, however, Sawyer struck his 1996 Chrysler Sebring. Sgt. Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 28, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Marlene Rines, 79, of Edgecomb. Ms. Rines was operating her 2011 Toyota Camry southbound when she fell asleep and crossed into the northbound lane. Her vehicle then continued into the northbound ditch and struck a tree. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 28, an accident occurred on Head Tide Road in Whitefield involving John M. Leach, 22, of Augusta. Mr. Leach was operating his 1997 Honda Accord westbound when he struck a deer attempting to travel southbound across the roadway. Deputy Chase Bosse was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 30, an accident occurred on Cedar Grove Road in Dresden involving Richard A. Nolon Jr., 49, of Boothbay Harbor. Mr. Nolon was operating his 2009 Chevrolet Malibu southbound when he struck several trees, mixed into power lines, that were down in the road due to the storm. Detective Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 30, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Taurus G. Walls, 41, of Westbrook. Mr. Walls was operating his 2015 Hino 268 truck northbound when he attempted to go under a low hanging power line and got off into the soft shoulder on the right side ditch. As a result, his vehicle came to rest against a CMP pole. No damage to vehicle or pole. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 1, an accident occurred on U.S. Route 1 in Newcastle involving Andrew J. Longe, 26, of Bristol. Mr. Longe was operating his 2014 Ford F150 northbound in the area just north of Sherman Lake rest area, when a deer crossed in front of his vehicle and was struck. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 1, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving James R. Thomas, 33, of Jefferson. Mr. Thomas was operating his 2004 Toyota Tundra southbound when a deer jumped out in front of his vehicle and struck the front end. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
