Lincoln Home resident celebrates 20 years of service to Skidompha Library
Family and friends gathered Nov. 7 at Skidompha Library to thank and celebrate Lincoln Home resident Billy Flanagan for her 20 years of volunteer work at the library. Billy has monitored the reading/computer room every Tuesday morning for over 20 years, helping those with questions and making all feel welcomed. Billy will be missed by many as she suspends her volunteer duties for the winter.
Pam Gormley, director of Skidompha, thanked Billy for her loyal volunteer hours. She presented a lovely wooden carved “wise owl” to Billy in gratitude, while sharing some fun stories about their times together at the library. Billy sets the example to all of us about the importance of volunteering, making this community a better place for all of us.
