Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office: Three arrests
Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 222 calls between Feb. 21 and Feb. 27, and year to date, LCSO has responded to 2,794 calls for service.
On Feb. 23, Brian R. Barter, 28, of Dresden was issued a summons for Violating Condition of Release, on Carriage Court, Dresden, by Detective Jared Mitkus.
On Feb. 20, Tiffanee E. Fraughton, 44, of Bristol was arrested for Violating Condition of Release, on Medomak Road, Bremen, by Transport Deputy James Read.
On Feb. 21, Jeremy R. Dennison, 31, of Owls Head was arrested for Criminal Mischief and Cruelty to Animals, in Rockland, by Rockland Police, for an incident which occurred in Bremen, on behalf of Sgt. Aaron Beck.
On Feb. 26, Richard M. Farrell, 33, of Damariscotta was arrested for Aggravated Criminal Mischief, on State Route 129, South Bristol, by Deputy First Class Brian Collamore.
On Feb. 23, an accident occurred on Route 27 in Edgecomb involving Peter E. Sayward, 53, of Appleton and Drew C. Lucas, 22, of Edgecomb. Mr. Lucas was operating his 2017 Kenworth T270 northbound down a hill and Mr. Sayward was operating his 2106 Ford F750 southbound and was starting to come up the hill. Lucas crowded the center yellow line due to a police vehicle having someone pulled over on the same side of the roadway. As a result, both vehicles clipped their left side mirrors, sustaining damage. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 23, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Jefferson involving Larry W. Cobb, 36, of Wiscasset. Mr. Cobb was operating his 2012 Dodge Caliber southbound when his vehicle slid off the icy roadway on the right side and struck a large rock. Sgt. Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 24, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Philip J. Peabody, 22, of Jefferson. Mr. Peabody was operating his 2000 Chevrolet 1500 northbound when his vehicle left the roadway on the right side, turned sideways and began to roll. The vehicle then came to rest on its passenger side against a tree. Deputy Jonathan Colby was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 24, an accident occurred on Vigue Road in Whitefield involving Jacob L. Vigue, 21, of Whitefield and Toni Brann, 71, of Whitefield. Mr. Vigue was operating his 2014 Dodge Ram southbound and stopped in the roadway. Ms. Brann stopped her 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe behind Vigue’s vehicle when Vigue began backing up, striking Brann’s vehicle and causing damage to the front of her vehicle. Reserve Deputy Dwight Fowles was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 25, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving James A. Waterman, 69, of Freedom. Mr. Waterman was operating his 2012 Toyota Sienna northbound traveling down a hill. Due to ice and slush on the roadway, his vehicle lost traction and slid off the right side, where it came to rest against some small trees. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 25, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Heidi E.M. Gallagher, 46, of Damariscotta. Ms. Gallagher was operating her 2007 Toyota Corolla northbound and due to icy/slushy road conditions, she lost control of her vehicle and went into a snowbank, causing damage to the front. Deputy First Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
