David A. Taylor, 84 of Boothbay Harbor, Maine passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Oct. 13, 2018 at their home.
He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 8, 1934 to Theodore and Flora (Comire) Taylor. David graduated from Deep River Connecticut High School, where he was class president, and graduated from Mitchell College in New London, Connecticut.

Gary W. Joslyn Sr. of Wiscasset, Maine passed away Oct. 8, 2018 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice Center surrounded by his loved ones. Gary passed unexpectedly due to a heart attack.

She was born on June 12, 1956. The most important thing in Elise’s life was her family.
Elise graduated from Medfield High School and Massachusetts Bay Community College and received her B.A. in Paralegal Studies from Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts.

Harold Guy Warren Jr., 78, of East Boothbay, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Oct. 6, 2018 at Central Maine Medical Center after a courageous battle with heart disease. Harold, also known as Dad, Honey, Papa, H, Hal and Harry was born on July 4, 1940 in Gardiner to Harold and Phyllis (Damon) Warren. He was educated in Pittston schools and graduated from Gardiner High School in 1959.

Ellen Hunter Scott of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Boothbay Harbor, Maine died peacefully at home early morning Sept. 23, 2018 from the consequences of brain cancer and multiple sclerosis. Despite living with illness, Ellen enjoyed a full, accomplished life with great intelligence, wit, kindness and a welcoming nature.

Patrick W. Perry, 59, of Lowell Town Road, Wiscasset passed away unexpectedly Sept. 25, 2018 at his home.
He was born in Boothbay Harbor on Nov. 11, 1958.
Pat was raised by his grandparents, Edward and Frances Mank. They would spend summers traveling to different states. Pat started working at Bath Iron Works at 18 with his grandfather. He was there for 40 years until he had to retire.

Barbara Sue Bush died peacefully at the age of 95, Sept. 23, 2018 at Indian River Estates in Vero Beach, Florida. Barbara was born in Washington, D.C., the only child of Maxwell Blick and Florence Heppe Blick.
She graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She contributed to the WWII effort operating the Link Trainer, an early flight simulator for pilots in training.

James W. Hunt, 82, died Sept. 22, 2018, at his home on Southport, Maine, surrounded by his loving family to whom he was entirely devoted. He was born June 4, 1936 in Worcester, Massachusetts to Robert Hunt and Marie (Davis) Hunt, and had one younger brother Robert H. Hunt, Jr. (Bob), who died in 2013.

David Thomas Wright, 67, of Hanover, Maine died unexpectedly at his home on Sept. 9, 2018.
Dave was born Aug. 2, 1951 in Biddeford, Maine, son of Connie (Reed) and Dick Wright of West Boothbay Harbor.
His early childhood was spent in Boothbay Harbor, enjoying summers around the Oak Grove Hotel while living in the old Reed family home, the white house across from the cove. David cherished these early memories all of his life.

Frank B. Main, 87, of Paine Road in Boothbay Harbor passed away Aug. 31, 2018 at the Togus VA Hospice.
He was born July 17, 1931 in Wiscasset, Maine, a son of Leslie and Elizabeth Main.
He attended local schools and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1950. He was stationed in Greenland for much of his enlistment, and was honorably discharged in August of 1953.

Paul Hozdala of Boothbay Harbor, Maine died peacefully with dignity early Monday morning, Sept. 3, 2018 after a brief illness. Paul leaves behind many close and loving friends.
A veteran of the United States military and serving during the Vietnam conflict as an Army military police officer, he attained the rank of sergeant.

Grace loved learning. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education at Indiana University, and later followed her passion of helping others with a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine.

Palmer was born on July 13, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Elmer Curry Payne and Agnes Palmer Payne. He spent his early childhood in Cincinnati, Covington, Kentucky and Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended grammar schools in Elmhurst and Villa Park, Illinois and junior and senior high schools in Marblehead, Massachusetts.

Ralph L. Carter, 76, of East Boothbay died at Togus Veterans Hospital Aug. 28, 2018. He was the son of Ralph “Ace” Carter and Dorothy Louise Bryant.
Ralph was a lifelong lobsterman and boat builder, fishing for the past 65 years. He attended the local school and graduated in the class of 1960, the first class to graduate from the “new high school.”

Mary was born May 31, 1927 in Boothbay Harbor to Hall Gray Potter and Alice Stella (Dickinson) Potter. Mary grew up in Newcastle and graduated from Lincoln Academy in the class of 1944. She married Wendell Matthews in 1946.

Marjorie “Marcia” Lorraine Rice, 79, of George Wright Road, Woolwich died peacefully at home Aug. 7, 2018.
She was born in Bath on July 14, 1939, a daughter of Anthony S. and Margaret (Reilly) Dodge.
She attended a one room schoolhouse in Woolwich and attended Morse High School. She married Maurice Nelson Rice in January of 1957. She lived in Boothbay Harbor, Florida then moved to Beacon Street in Bath where they started their family.

Mark Alan Foye, 61, of Willow Lane, Wiscasset died Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
He was born in Damariscotta on Jan. 19, 1957, a son of Maurice A. and Audrey L. (McGee) Foye.
He attended Wiscasset schools and graduated from Wiscasset High School. He was a worm digger and then employed by Bath Iron Works as a welder for 40 years. He was married to Paula Foye for 30 years. He coached T-ball and was a Cub Scout leader.

He was a teacher, a shopkeeper and an adventurer. When asked about the safety hazards of the old clunker he used to drive, he said, “I like to live on the edge.” And that he did.
