The following Wiscasset area students graduated from Bates College at the school's 149th commencement ceremony on May 31.

Lily Christine, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter C. Christine of Alna, graduated cum laude after majoring in English at Bates. She is a 2011 graduate of homeschooling.

Frances Leslie, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seaver W. Leslie of Wiscasset, graduated after majoring in art and visual culture at Bates. She is a 2011 graduate of North Yarmouth Academy.

Fiona Robins, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Christopher A. Robins of Whitefield, graduated after majoring in environmental studies at Bates. She is a 2011 graduate of New Paltz Central High School.
