Christmas Eve Service at Edgecomb Community Church
As the story goes, Mary and her new husband Joseph were away from home, looking for a place to sleep on the eve of Christmas before Christmas was even a thing. The only shelter they could find was a barn, so they made do. Imagine them, huddled up there on blankets in the corner, with the smell and the warmth and the soothing presence of the farm animals gathered around them. And into that night, Mary cried out. And into that messy, imperfect, yet still somehow beautiful world—as the story goes—Jesus was born.
It’s a story worth remembering, isn’t it? Worth regularly re-telling and re-visiting. That’s what we’ll be doing at Edgecomb Community Church this Christmas Eve. And we would love to have you join us for this celebration, in song and story, of God’s presence—which is born again and again into our messy, imperfect, yet still somehow beautiful world!
Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. is the time and Edgecomb Community Church, 15 Cross Point Road, Edgecomb is the place. Music will be led by Joseph Cough and the service of lessons and carols will be led by Pastor Aram Mitchell. All are welcome for this meaningful candlelight service. An offering will be collected for local fuel assistance.
