Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary members are now searching for greens and other natural materials to be gathered from local homes, farms, fields, forests and shores, for the annual “Holiday Bazaar” at Mid Coast Hospital Thursday and Friday, Dec. 4 and 5, at the hospital, 123 Medical Center Drive.

It takes place on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lovely baskets of greens, wreaths, centerpieces and decorated country antiques, will be among the offerings this year. All baskets will have water containers to keep greens fresh. Four choices of wreaths will be offered: shell or cone wreaths, $30 each; with red bow, $12, and plain, $10. Wreaths may be ordered until Dec. 2 by calling the Gift Shop at 207-373-6018 and wreath pick-up is during bazaar hours.

A wide variety of homebaked goods will be for sale. Assorted cookie plates are very popular and hundreds are sold for quick treats.

In the Café, open from 7 am to 6:30 pm, lobster rolls will be served at lunch on Thursday and fish chowder on Friday.
