Jan. 10 event at Inn Along the Way
It’s all about coming together in community. Start the New Year of right by shaking off the winter blues. Join your friends from the Inn Along the Way and Damariscotta Open Mic for a belated 2026 New Year’s Day and Winter Celebration ~ open mic, musical jam and potluck buffet. New dreams, new hopes, new experiences and new joys come together on a winter’s afternoon as local musicians, songwriters, and storytellers offer a magical, musical celebration from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, in the Long Barn at the Inn Along the Way, 751 Main Street in Damariscotta.
The Inn Along the Way, in partnership with Damariscotta Open Mic, is continuing a Midcoast tradition of musicians and community members gathering together to welcome the beginning of a New Year in a safe and welcoming environment for a free, multigenerational, open to all community event delayed this year until Jan. 10 by a snow storm on New Year’s Day
Peaceful New Beginnings is your chance to share your talents ~ music, songs, poetry, stories, dances, your creative spirit. Open mic sign-up begins at 12:30 p.m. There’s also the opportunity to share your culinary talents as we create a potluck buffet for all to enjoy. Bring and share your favorite ~ snack, beverage, appetizer, main dish, casserole, salad, dessert or new holiday recipe.
IAW’s mission is to create a collaborative community offering older adults, and those seeking temporary relief from the responsibilities of caregiving, an environment of support, purpose, and sustainability in a multigenerational and mutually interdependent setting (www.innalongtheway.org).
