Late February classes at Adult Ed

The week after February school vacation has classes scheduled where you can learn to play the guitar, tips on year round skincare, or learn the basics of using Microsoft Excel.

Join licensed esthetician, Irene Plummer, for a one evening workshop, Skincare 101 on Monday, Feb. 27. It is never too late to start taking care of your skin! No matter your skin type, having a regular skincare routine is very important. Your skin is assaulted everyday – pollution, harsh weather conditions, poor diet, and stress. Learn how best to take care of your individual skin during the harsh days of winter and the summer heat.. The class is from 6-7:30 p.m. The fee is $24, which includes a sample packet of skincare products to take home.

Make some music! Have you always wanted to learn to play the guitar? Beginner Guitar is a hands-on course is designed for people with little or no experience playing the guitar and will provide an introduction to TAB, chords, strumming, flatpicking styles in a way that’s fun and enriching. We will focus on fundamentals such as timing, and technique. Bring your acoustic guitar and flat pick. This five session class is on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 28 to March 14,6-8 p.m., and the fee is $55.

Basic Excel is a hands-on introduction to Excel 2010, a powerful, industry-leading spreadsheet application. Learn the basics of worksheets, using tools and functions, set-up a worksheet, create formulas, import and export information, and more. Excel is used by many businesses, and is a valuable asset when job hunting. The class is on Feb. 28, March 1, and March 2 from 6-8 p.m. The cost is $36.
