The Nor'easters, a 20-member singing group, was organized in 1964 to offer men and boys an opportunity to sing popular songs in four-part harmony. Since then, the Nor’easters have sung in such venues as retirement homes, patriotic celebrations, community festivals, churches, Portland Sea Dog games, for many fundraising causes, and in regional barbershop chorus competitions.

The barbershop chorus invites men of all ages to a guest night on Tuesday, April 29, at 7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of Bath. The church is located at 240 Oak Grove Avenue.

The guest night will allow men who drop in for the evening, an opportunity to experience all of that in an open rehearsal format.

“Men don’t have to read music or audition to join,” Music Director Kathy Robitaille said. “They are simply folks who like to sing as a recreational outlet, who have fun putting across a song and enjoy the fellowship that is an important part of our rehearsals.”
