The Animal House, with locations in Damariscotta and Westbrook is hosting ‘12 Woofs of Christmas’ to benefit the Lincoln County Animal Shelter in Edgecomb and the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland in Westbrook.

Photos of 12 dogs and cats from the shelters are displayed at each store. Customers may then choose which they would like to sponsor for the holiday for $5, $10 or $25. The Animal House will customize a package based on the health needs of the sponsored pet including food, litter, remedies, supplements, toys, beds and chews, at the retailer's cost.

The Animal House will deliver all packages to the shelters on Christmas Eve. 

The Animal House has delivered over one thousand packages to area shelters since this program started in 2007.
