Wiscasset had its annual Winterfest on Saturday, Feb. 6, well-timed with Friday’s fresh pile of snow. Bath Cycle & Ski had fat bikes, named for the wide tires, to try out; Wiscasset Middle High School students had a cocoa station and some extra fun early on with a snowball fight and snowman-making; and Chewonki Foundation brought a few of the animals in its care, for viewing, and learning about, inside Wiscasset Community Center.

Chewonki Foundation also offered snowshoeing Saturday. Parks and Recreation staff continued scraping the driveway and walkway in front of the center as the sun warmed what remained on the pavement after the snowfall.
