Dear Editor:

Laura Fortman would be a great state senator to represent Lincoln County. I’ve known her for years as she has worked to create jobs, provide childcare for working parents, ensure health care for all, and provide paidsick leave and family leave to employees.

Having run the Department of Labor for eight years, she understands how government works – from budgets, to policy, to forging common sense solutions to get things done.

I care passionately about land conservation and environmental protection. I know that we can count on Laura to protect our lakes, rivers, and streams, our wildlife habitat, our clean air, and our coastline not some of the time, but all the time.

I hope you will join me in supporting Laura Fortman for State Senate.
