“Operation Finale” - Fifteen years after the end of World War II, a team of top-secret Israeli agents travel to Argentina to track down Adolf Eichmann (Ben Kingsley), the Nazi officer who masterminded the transportation logistics that brought millions of innocent Jews to their deaths in concentration camps. Hoping to sneak him out of the country to stand trial, agent Peter Malkin (Oscar Isaac) soon finds himself playing a deadly game of cat and mouse with the notorious war criminal. "Operation Finale" - (PG-13, CC & AD)  122 minutes, plays  Wednesday, Oct. 17 and  Thursday, Oct. 18  at 7 p.m. 
“Gone With the Wind” -  The 1939  epic historical drama is set in the American South during the Civil War, starring Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Leslie Howard and Olivia de Havilland. Winner of eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture. Rated PG, the film’s run time is 234 minutes - with intermission. It plays Thursday,Oct. 18 and Saturday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m.  Tickets, $10 (no discounts) at the door, includes a small popcorn and water before the show and complimentary wine, coffee and food will be served during the intermission.
 
“Fahrenheit 11/9” -  Michael Moore is at it again, and this time he takes a provocative and comedic look at the times in which we live. Moore predicted that Trump would win the 2016 election, and now he travels the country interviewing American citizens to get a sense of the social, economic and political impact of  Trump's victory. He asks two key questions: How did we get here, and how do we get out? (Rated R, AD, CC, 125 minutes) Playing at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, Saturday, Oct. 20, Wednesday, Oct. 24 and Thursday, Oct. 25; Sunday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m.

“The Wife” -  The Wife interweaves the story of the couple's youthful passion and ambition with a portrait of a marriage, 30-plus years later -- a lifetime's shared compromises, secrets, betrayals, and mutual love. Starring Glenn Close and Jonathan Pryce.  (R; 1 hour, 40 minutes) Final screening Thursday, Oct 18 at 2 p.m.

“Monty Python and the Holy Grail” : A Sing-Along Event! - History is turned on its comic head when, in 10th century England, King Arthur travels the countryside to find knights who will join him at the Round Table in Camelot. Gathering up the men is a tale in and of itself but after a bit of a party at Camelot, many decide to leave only to be stopped by God who sends them on a quest: to find the Holy Grail. Come join in the fun and bring your singing voice! (PG; 1 hour, 31 minutes) Tickets $10/adults and $8/theater members and youth 18 and under. Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.

“Fahrenheit 11/9” - Filmmaker Michael Moore examines the current state of American politics, particularly the Donald J. Trump presidency and gun violence, while highlighting the power of grassroots democratic movements. (R; 2 hours, 6 minutes). Playing Friday,  Oct. 19 at 2 and 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20 and Sunday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m., Wednesday,  Oct. 24 at 2 p.m.  Special showing added on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. presented by Lincoln County Indivisible including free admission for those age 25 and under; register to vote; and kick off the film with brief remarks by activist/advocate Betsy Sweet.

“Little Women” - Stories to Screen -  Join us to celebrate 150 years of this American classic with FREE showings of the first major dramatization of Louisa May Alcott's novel about the lives of the four March sisters during the American Civil War as they learn to navigate love, loss and the trials of growing up. Free copies of the book are still available for pick up. Episode 2 airs Saturday, Oct. 20 at 10 a.m.  The third and final episode plays next week on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m.

“Samson et Dalila” - The Met Live in HD - When mezzo-soprano Elina Garanca and tenor Roberto Alagna joined forces for a new production of Carmen at the Met, the results were electrifying. Now this star duo reunites for another sensual French opera when they open the season in the title roles of Saint-Saëns’s biblical epic.  (3 hours, 4 minutes includes two 30-minute intermissions) Playing Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m.

The Atomic Cafe - Special Guest  Jayne Loader - Armageddon has never been so darkly funny as in The Atomic Cafe. This 1982 cult classic, newly restored, juxtaposes Cold War history, propaganda, music and culture, seamlessly crafted from government-produced educational and training films, newsreels and advertisements. Join us and director Jayne Loader for this cult classic showing and Q&A post screening discussion. Sunday, Oct. 21 at 2 p.m.

“Funny Girl – The Musical” -  Following its record-breaking, sell-out run in London’s West End and national tour, the critically-acclaimed musical Funny Girl is broadcast to Lincoln Theater, featuring Sheridan Smith in "an unforgettable star turn” (The Times). Funny Girl is semi-biographical, based on the life and career of Broadway star, film actress and comedienne Fanny Brice (a role made famous by Barbra Streisand on Broadway and in the 1968 film adaptation), and her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nick Arnstein. Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m.

Talking Music in Maine, Intimate Conversations -  Dr. Richard Nickerson has received numerous awards including Maine Music Educator of the Year, Maine Distinguished Choral Director of the Year and runner up for Maine Teacher of the Year. In January 2009, he was recognized by Choral Director Magazine as one of 10 "Choral Directors of Note” in the United States.
