U.S. Senator Angus S. King, Jr. announced the opening of six state offices across the state of Maine. Located in Biddeford, Presque Isle, Auburn, Portland, Augusta, and Bangor, the current offices have been inherited from Senator Olympia Snowe and will serve to directly meet the needs of constituents. 

Edie Smith, who serves as Senator King’s State Director and oversees the operation of the offices, said, “It is important to Senator King and all of us that the state offices open in concert with his assumption of the office. We have worked feverishly since his election to create a seamless transition that will allow us offer outstanding services for our constituents. We look forward to collaborating with the staff in Senator Collins’ office, as well as Representatives Michaud and Pingree in pursuit of that effort.” Smith encourages constituents to call the office first before visiting to ensure staff will be prepared to meet various constituents needs.
