Carmolli graduates from SMCC
Marissa Carmolli of Edgecomb graduated from Southern Maine Community College on May 17 with a degree in architectural and engineering design. She graduated with honors and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Carmolli currently works as the laboratory coordinator at Mid Coast Hospital and hopes to incorporate her new degree into her position. She lives with her husband Rick and children Ethan and Ava in Edgecomb.

Trish McLeod was feeling proud June 11 with daughter Jessica McLeod in cap and gown for graduation night at Wiscasset High School. The Wiscasset High School class of 2015 didn't go out quietly.Playing for the either the last time ever or the last time this season, the Wiscasset High School girls softball team and boys baseball teams played Oak Hill on Thursday, June 4 on senior appreciation day.While the softball team fell to Oak Hill, 22-0, in five innings, the boys baseball team, which will likely play again in the playoffs, lost a dramatic game that took extra innings to play.The two teams played a 1-1 nail biter for... Mason Brewer on dean's list
Mason Brewer of Wiscasset was named to the spring 2015 dean's list at Lyndon State College, Lyndonville, Vermont. For inclusion on the dean's list, a student must have completed at least 12 graded credits with no incomplete or failing grades and a minimum grade-point average of 3.50.
Foster gives graduation speech at Deck House School
"To be or not" was the theme on Saturday afternoon, May 30 when Bob Foster spoke to the graduating class of the Deck House School in Edgecomb. About 100 students and family gathered for the ceremony on the school's 180-acre property overlooking the Sheepscot River. Foster urged the students to keep getting up after life's knock downs. Seth P. Musich of Edgecomb graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international affairs at Lewis & Clark College’s 142nd commencement ceremony, held on May 9 in Portland, Oregon. While at Lewis & Clark, Musich’s activities included club soccer, volunteer work and various jobs. Nine inducted into National Honor Society
The annual National Honor Society induction ceremony was conducted at Wiscasset High School on Thursday, May 21. Nine students were inducted into the local NHS chapter, having been selected on their merits and achievements in the areas of scholarship, character, service, and leadership. Graduates from medical school
Eva Bradford of Westport Island graduated from medical school on Saturday, May 16. She is 2005 graduate of Wiscasset High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Maine. She will be moving to Florida for residency and plans on practicing as a family medicine physician. She is the daughter of David and Anne Bradford.
Crysta Brown graduates from Smith College
Crysta Cassandra Brown, daughter of Robert and Patricia Brown of Wiscasset, received a bachelor’s degree from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts on Sunday, May 17. She was one of 666 seniors who graduated during the college’s 137th commencement exercises, at which pioneering educator Juliet V. Wiscasset grad rate up; no longer Maine’s lowest
Wiscasset High School no longer occupies the basement of Maine’s graduation rates.
