Andrew Duhon in concert May 23
Andrew Duhon has been called, “Another world-class voice from Louisiana, another soulful, mesmerizing singer who writes emotional songs with impact and heart,” and on Saturday, May 23, this blues and folk troubadour travels far and arrives in Maine to play at the historic Boothbay Harbor Opera House.
He is touring on what he’s calling the Stop Motion Tour 2026 – wandering from New Orleans to North Carolina to Saratoga to New York City before heading towards Maine on Memorial Day weekend. Then heading onward to Annapolis and Texas and Colorado and New Mexico, bringing his trio music to major festivals, and smaller outposts. He returns to the Opera House by popular demand and thanks to generous sponsorship from the J. Edward Knight Insurance Co.
Audience members can expect an upbeat musicality from this New Orleans native as he plays his tunes with upright bassist Myles Weeks and drummer Jim Kolacek singing three part harmony. He knows how to craft an appealing song and how to sell it on stage, and Opera House audience members have remarked that he brings to mind a young Dylan.
John Scott of the LA Beat says, “Duhon brings the craft of a master short story writer to his songs and in doing so creates a series of skillfully rendered vignettes.”
