Bands for Books getting closer!
Bands for Books 2025 was a wonderful event, and we realized our highest profit. We are thankful for our volunteers, our guests and our sponsors who made this possible. Our loyal guests know that each year we strive to make Bands for Books better than the previous year.
All monies received are used to support our Library. Last year, in addition to providing the Library with $7,000 for operating expenses (which include the Summer Reading Program, Adult Programs, Young Adult Programs, and the Inter-Library Loan System) we also provided $3,500 as a deposit for the total renovation of the bathroom in the Children’s Library in our beautiful and historic building. In total last year, our fundraising efforts provided in excess of $16,000 to our library! We were able to accomplish this due to your generous assistance. All proceeds benefit Wiscasset Public Library, a vibrant year-round hub that provides free access to books, technology, and enrichment opportunities for all ages. Wiscasset Public Library serves as a vital connector in our region.
By attending Bands for Books on Labor Day, Sept. 7, you’re supporting this essential community anchor and helping ensure that knowledge, culture, and opportunity remain free and accessible to all.Tickets are available at Wiscasset Public Library, 21 High St., for a pre-purchase price of $20 and at the door for $25. If you are unable to visit our Library, you can reach our Treasurer, Lynn Maloney (207-798-2831) or via email at lynnmaloney5@yahoo.com
