BRHS/WMHS girls take 6th, boys 9th at State Meet
Nick Scott, coach of the Boothbay Region High School/Wiscasset Middle High School cross-country teams was overjoyed with the teams’ results at the State Meet at Cony High School on Saturday, Oct. 31.
“What an incredible ending to an incredible season. Both teams finished strong: girls (6th), boys (9th), and we had some strong personal races as well,” said Scott in an email to the newspaper.
“A special congratulations to AJ Crocker, who placed 9th in the Class C race. This is the first time that a boy from BRHS has placed in the top 10 at states since 2019. Polly Nadeau narrowly missed the mark, placing 11th,” said Scott.
Winthrop High School was the overall boys Class C team champion and Maine Coast Waldorf was the girls Class C team champion. The boys race had 97 finishers and the girls race had 77 finishers.
