Dear Editor:

I’m writing this letter to support the re-election of Rep Wayne Farrin.

I’ve had the good fortune of spending time with Wayne this election cycle. It sounds corny to say, “he really cares,” but that’s the truth. Wayne finds ways to connect his constituents with organizations and people who can help them when needed. He visits with people who may not have seen another soul in days or maybe weeks.

It’s because of Wayne’s compassion and determination for action that several of us from his district and beyond have come together in a fundraising effort called “Cookies for a Cause” being held on Oct. 12 at the Alna fire house. Wayne wanted to find a way to raise funds to help with heating homes this winter, as well as spending time together as a community. This exemplifies who Wayne is as a person and leader; one who not only cares about all of us, but who finds ways to put that compassion into action to solve problems.
