Last chance! Just a few seats remain for Veggies to Table’s Harvest Dinner & Fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. at The Contented Sole in New Harbor. The evening supports Veggies to Table’s work growing top-quality organic produce and flowers, all for donation to neighbors in need. Ticket sales close Oct. 10.

Guests will be welcomed with a signature champagne cocktail and passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by a harvest-inspired dinner by the harbor. Paired wines, sparkling wine, Allagash beer, and Coffee By Design coffee will be served throughout the evening, with live acoustic music by Wikid Bueno and a beautiful cheese table and homemade desserts to linger over.

Making this evening possible is an extraordinary gift from The Contented Sole owners Beth Polhemus and Warren Busteed, who have donated the venue, food, and service. All proceeds will support the farm’s next chapter, helping fund a tool shed, equipment storage shed, and produce wash-and-pack station—essential infrastructure that will help the farm grow and share its harvest more efficiently.

“We’re so grateful to Beth and Warren for opening The Contented Sole to us, and to each local artist, maker, business, and guest helping turn this dinner by the harbor into more nourishing produce and flowers for our community,” said Erica Berman, executive director of Veggies to Table.

An abundant raffle will feature prizes generously donated by beloved local businesses and supporters of Veggies to Table, including a two-night midweek stay with spa and sauna access at Cabot Lodge Waldoboro; tickets to the Waldo Theatre; a custom family portrait collection from Tiffany White Photography; artwork from Abacus Gallery and local artists; a 90-minute sauna session for four at The Tipsy Butler; and gift cards to Bred in the Bone, Fiction Bookstore, Bird Gallery, The Peaceful Pagan, Village Handcraft, Sherman’s Maine Coast Book Shops, Smashed Burgers & Brews, Perch Cafe & Bakery, and Log Cabin Shoes. Other prizes include treats from Coastal Maine Popcorn; a Mysterious Harbor tour for two; gift baskets from Coffee By Design, Beach Plum Company, and Barter’s Island Bees; a Midcoast Kayak tour; a Mini Market Basket from Widener Company; a Pointed Firs floorcloth by Susan Connery Designs; champagne and wine; Veggies to Table dahlia tubers; and more!

Tickets are $175 for one, or $150 per person when reserving for two or more, and include dinner, wine and beer, and live music. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice.
