There is a brief business meeting at 12:30 p.m. followed by our free and open to the public program at 1 p.m.  Ellie Sloan-Barton, longtime mushroom enthusiast, will talk on “Magnificent Mushrooms."

 

You will learn identifying skills, life cycle of this fungi, foraging (hunting), growing techniques and benefits. If you have ever found mushrooms in your yard or  in the woods and wondered, “Can I eat these or will they harm me," you will enjoy this program.

Ellie Sloan-Barton's passion for mushrooms will also help attendees understand the importance of fungi in our ecosystem.
