Event Date
Friday, May 29, 2026 - 09:00 am to 05:00 pmTickets launched this past Monday for Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens’ annual Maine Days. From Friday, May 29, through Sunday, May 31, Mainers can bring up to eight guests per household. After a long winter, the Gardens provides a perfect family-friendly retreat. Enjoy acres of botanical delights, miles of hiking trails, the ever-popular giant trolls, and returning again this year, The Caterpillar Lab—a living caterpillar exhibit will be open all three days in the Education Center.
"Our mission is to inspire meaningful connections between people and nature. We know that rising costs nationwide can create barriers for Gardens’ guests. We hope that Maine
Days provides an opportunity for Mainers to enjoy their gardens before summer kicks off," shared Gretchen Ostherr, President & CEO. "The gardens are already looking verdant and beautiful. We can’t wait to welcome you!”
Tickets are available online now at MaineGardens.org and are selling fast. A small number of tickets will be available each day for non-Mainers visiting the peninsula. Mainers looking for free tickets should select “Maine Day” tickets on the Gardens calendar. Please note that a valid Maine ID will be required for entry. Free Maine Days tickets are not eligible for exchange or refund. The Gardens will be open rain or shine. Carpool with another Maine family and friends and make a day of it on the Boothbay peninsula, exploring local shops, restaurants, and galleries.
