Vote for Wayne Farrin
Dear Editor:
Choosing local leaders is a responsibility and a privilege not to be taken lightly. In Maine House District 47 we already have a proven and genuine servant of the people in Wayne Farrin.
Long before he started as a Maine Rep., he served on his local budget committee for 20 years, plus years on chamber of commerce, YMCA, and Lincoln County Sheriff Office citizen action committees. That’s a lot of time working with others to help local people and businesses. And his legislative efforts to make housing more affordable and child care more accessible are notable and truly appreciated.
In contrast, Wayne’s opponent, Chester B. Grover the Third, appears to have done nothing in the realm of civic affairs that compares to Wayne’s record of service. He is best known to many in Wiscasset for frequently and obsessively harassing local school department and committee leaders, usually speaking against ideas and individuals without offering any useful suggestions or goodwill. I do not believe he has the ability nor the intention to work with others in the legislature whose ideas or beliefs conflict with his own.
I am proud to be voting to re-elect Wayne Farrin to the Maine House and urge everyone in House District 47 to join me. Thank you.
