I am a resident of Wiscasset who wants assurances that major decisions that impact the welfare of our town are made in a totally transparent manner, knowing the full scope of what is being proposed, both positive and negative.

If you agree, you should vote 'YES' on Article #3.

Why you should vote ‘YES’ for a moratorium on data centers in Wiscasset?

Wiscasset ordinances do not currently address the potential impacts of large-scale data centers on our electric grid and water supply nor do they address any potential air, water, light or noise pollution.

A 180-day moratorium will allow us to study these impacts, consult with relevant state agencies, utilities and other municipalities to consider how best to amend our ordinances to regulate any potential data center development.
