Wayne David Kimball was born in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts May 17, 1951, the fourth child and first son to Dr. Stanley W. and Roberta (nee Burrill) Kimball. He passed away Feb. 24, 2026, at the age of 74, following a lengthy illness.

He graduated from Shaker Heights High School in Shaker Heights, Ohio and then earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

Wayne was predeceased by his mother in 2002 and his father in 2017.

Surviving him are his brother Mark O. Kimball (Beth) of Chardon, Ohio and his four sisters: Shirley A. Carpenter (Edward, Ted) of South Weymouth, Massachusetts, Margaret K. Long (Douglas) of East Boothbay, Maine, Elaine K. Althoff (Fred) of Jacksonville, Florida and Pamela S. Kimball of Miami, Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Interment will be with his parents and maternal grandparents at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterville, Maine Saturday, Sept. 26.
