Today at Spruce Point Inn...
Sunny, sunny, sunny. High near 70F. N winds shifting to SE at 10 to 15 mph. Low 56F.
Boothbay Harbor will hold its fireworks display at around 8:30pm tonight in the usual location in the outer harbor. Both the Windjammer Days (June 25) and Fourth of July celebrations were cancelled for weather and will be combined into one show.
The SPI van will shuttle guests down to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church and back. This is a great location for viewing. Please sign up at the front desk, if you would like to ride.
You might also consider this a nice after dinner walk. It's 1.25 miles to the Church. We will leave some flash lights for you at the front desk as these are especially nice to have for signaling at night.
Dining reservations are suggested this evening, If you plan to take in the fireworks, we suggest 5 and 5:30 reservation times.
Downtown Boothbay Harbor, with it's quaint sidewalks and many shops and places to lunch, is again a great choice today. Try Coastal Maine Popcorn for a sweet or savory snack. Try Blue Moon Cafe for lunch.
Enjoy your day!
