In celebration of America's 250th Birthday, The Community Center, in partnership with Harbor Theater, presents one of the greatest movie musicals: "1776"!

Set in Philadelphia in the days leading up to July 4, 1776, you’ll see the all too human side of John Adams – “obnoxious and disliked,” Benjamin Franklin – mastermind behind the scenes, and Thomas Jefferson who delays writing the document for a reunion with his wife. Together they try to persuade the American colonies to support a resolution on independence and a single “nay” vote will forever end the question of independence.
All of which shows it’s not easy creating a new country, but it makes for a spectacular movie musical!
