SUCCESS IN NUMBERS AUTUMN AT COASTAL SENIOR COLLEGE
Now that the Fall Term is in full swing, CSC is pleased to report the success of the season with a look at the numbers we’ve accomplished.
First up is the welcome increase in overall MEMBERSHIP to a new high of 368 seniors dedicated to lifelong learning in Lincoln and Knox Counties. This number includes several new members whose attention we have captured with our current expanded media outreach and publicity efforts.
Even though the College has not experienced an increase in the number of courses for the Fall Semester, the Curriculum Committee is pleased to report that new outreach efforts to seniors with “a story to share” from their professional experiences, their active hobbies or their personal reading and research are drawing attention for the upcoming Winter and Spring Terms.
Of the final roster of twelve (12) COURSES underway, the three most popular among members have proven to be “Berlin to Broadway – Kurt Weill in His Time and Ours” with instructor Bob Rackmales (in conjunction with the Belfast Senior College), “John Brown and His Followers: The Strange Story of Harpers Ferry” with instructor Jayne Gordon, and “Seeing Ourselves: New Research on Why We Do What We Do” with instructor Joel Shapiro.
And the best news of all is the number 132 – the total number of Maine Senior College STUDENTS enjoying the Fall 2025 learning experiences.
