100+ Women Who Care sets goal of raising 100k for local nonprofits by end of year
Since its inception last October, 100+ Women Who Care Lincoln County Maine has been the catalyst to raise over $33,000. By year’s end, they have a goal of raising $100,000 to support the tireless work of local nonprofits.
To date, the organization has been able to provide significant financial gifts to Stepping Stone Housing in Damariscotta and Boothbay Region Community Resource Council, two Lincoln County nonprofits voted to receive the major “impact donation” allocated each quarter. In addition, smaller donations have been awarded to Coastal Kids, Waldo Theatre, and Veterans Writing Project through funds raised via grants and raffles.
“100+ Women Who Care Lincoln County Maine” invites you to become a member and join them for their April 7 meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor. Meetings are supported by the generosity of local business throughout Lincoln County such as Tindal & Callahan Real Estate; The Cheney Financial Group; Bangor Savings Bank; Jordan Construction; Damariscotta Region Chamber of Commerce; Mid-Maine Millwork; Social Graze Charcuterie, and Coastal Maine Popcorn. Gathering space has been generously provided by hosts such as Wanderwood and Bigelow, with the upcoming event at the Opera House at Boothbay Harbor. Melissa Keyser Photography captures the joy of community at each gathering.
For those interested in participating, membership forms and nomination forms are available on the organization’s website at womenwhocarelincolncountymaine.org.
