5 Days Out: Last call to paddle Linekin Bay for youth marine education!
The clock is ticking! With just five days remaining, excitement is reaching a peak for the Boothbay Sea and Science Center’s (BSSC) inaugural Paddlepalooza on Linekin Bay, taking place Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026 (Rain date: Sunday, Aug. 9).
Paddlers of all experience levels and all ages 12+ are invited to grab their kayak, canoe, paddleboard, or rowboat for a morning of ocean adventure, community camaraderie, and purpose.

Choose Your Adventure
Participants can pick between two scenic coastal routes starting and ending at the Murray Hill Road Public Boat Launch:

Route A (9 a.m. Launch): A 4.3-mile scenic route heading east toward Bayville, tracking the coastline to Linekin Bay Resort, and rounding the southern tip of Cabbage Island.

Route B (9:15 a.m. Launch): A 1.7-mile leisurely route heading south around Perch Island, keeping paddlers close to the beautiful coastline.

Every dollar raised directly funds the BSSC Financial Assistance Program, ensuring hands-on, experiential marine science and sailing programs remain affordable and accessible to local youth and families, regardless of financial circumstance.
