Anthony Wayne “Tony” Faulkingham, born May 27, 1953, in Harrington, Maine, passed away on Sept. 5, 2026. He was the son of the late Clyde and Gwendolyn Mabel (Nichols) Faulkingham.

Tony spent most of his life in Wiscasset, Maine, where he built a life centered on hard work, dedication, and family. He proudly served in the National Guard and worked at Bath Iron Works before becoming a full-time lobsterman and clam digger. He worked the waters and shores of Maine for many years, continuing to do what he loved right up until the end. He was known for his kind nature, strong work ethic, and deep connection to the outdoors.

Some of Tony's greatest joys were found in the simple traditions he loved - digging clams, hunting in the Maine woods, and spending time outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting moose and deer with his son Steven and lobster fishing with his son Nathan. Those who traveled River Road will likely remember Tony for another simple gesture that was just part of who he was - a wave to nearly everyone who passed by.

He is survived by his son, Steven Faulkingham; his daughter-in-law, Connie; his grandchildren, Madison and Riley; his son, Nathan Faulkingham; and his brother, Dana Faulkingham, and Dana's wife, Mary.

Tony was cared for in his final time by his son Steven, along with Steven's wife, Connie, whose support and dedication meant so much. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Sussman House for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion they provided Tony in his final days.

He was predeceased by his wife, Luann Faulkingham, and his parents, Clyde and Gwendolyn Mabel (Nichols) Faulkingham.

Tony will be remembered for his steady presence, quiet strength, and the love he had for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and a life deeply tied to the Maine coast.

In keeping with Tony's quiet and private nature, and his preference to avoid being the center of attention, there will be no formal services.
