Wiscasset’s Feed Our Scholars/Set For Success is delighted to be offering a morning basketry workshop, from 10 a.m. to noon March 28, where attendees will learn to make a charming little basket that can be used for an Easter treat or for holding one’s special little items. A second workshop will be added from 2 to 4 p.m. if there is interest. Workshops will happen under the able direction of Maré LeMay at her shop, Mindful Gardens, 62 Middle St. in Wiscasset.

The event is a great way to experience weaving: Small enough to complete in the two-hour session. The suggested donation is $20 for an adult, $15 for ages 12-18, though younger motivated participants, 8-11, will be considered. Students must be accompanied by an adult.

The funds generated will help support providing weekend bags of food for participating Wiscasset Elementary School students and school supplies for all Wiscasset students, Pre-K to grade 12.
