Bremen Library April show: 'Hazel and Me'
The Bremen Library is once again hosting Elizabeth Palmer as our April Artist of the Month. Palmer has done work with acrylics, oils and egg tempera, but her medium of choice is watercolors. She specializes in Midcoast Maine scenes and is part of Saltwater Artists Gallery, the Boothbay Region Art Foundation and River Arts Gallery.
Palmer’s show is entitled “Hazel and Me,” featuring the art of her nine-year-old granddaughter. Hazel lives in Lakewood, CO, but comes to Maine in summer. Her notecards are at several Maine locations from Damariscotta to Brooklin. Hazel has been painting since she was 18 months old, and comes from a long line of artists, going back at least four generations!
The opening reception is on Thursday, April 2 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The opening is free and open to all. “Hazel and Me” can be enjoyed in the meeting room gallery throughout the month of April during regular library hours: Wednesday 10 a.m. -5 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. - noon.
