On Sept. 18 a cast of singers who worked with the late musical director and pianist Dominic Garvey will perform a tribute concert in his honor at the Opera House in Boothbay Harbor.
Audience members can expect an evening of Broadway music and American standards performed by an array of vocalists with piano accompaniment directed by Michelle Bruckner.
Dominic Garvey lived in Boothbay Harbor the last 30 years of his life and was beloved by community. He worked as artistic director of the Carousel Music Theater for 25 years, played for Harbor Methodist Church, and at the Rocktide Inn.
Prior to his life in the Harbor he lived in New York and Pittsburgh and held several masters degrees in music, education and theater history.
