Carolyn V. Erskine, 79, of Chewonki Neck Road, Wiscasset died Dec. 18, 2018 at LincolnHealth Miles Campus in Damariscotta.

She was born in Boston, Massachusetts Sept. 24, 1939, a daughter of James F. and Elizabeth B. (Emerson) Eustis.

She graduated from Arlington High School in 1958 and, on Nov. 22, 1958, she married William Bailey. She moved to Maine in 1982 and was employed at Miss Wiscasset Diner for 22 years. In 1984 she married Paul Erskine.

She enjoyed lawn sales, eBay and her dog, Sam.

She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Erskine on Sept. 30, 2012.

She is survived by two sons, James E. Bailey of California and William D. Bailey of Oregon; one sister, Margaret “Peg” Vester of Indiana; sister-in-law, Rebecca Townsend and her husband Henny of Edgecomb; friend, Heather Pitcher of Wiscasset; friends, Tony and Bev Squillante of Boothbay; favorite cousins, Judy, Deb and Ken, Sandra, Jessie and Jay and Don and Dot and niece, Mary.

There will be no service. Burial will be at Alna Cemetery in Alna in the spring.
