    The heat wave arrived July 2 and one of the best ways to beat the humidity and burning sun around the Boothbay region is to jump into the ocean. At near high tide, Barrett’s Park in Boothbay Harbor was a popular place with kids and adults (as well as some dogs!). The time and temperature clock at The First read 93F but the heat index was certainly higher. According to one website, the ocean temperature was 59.4F. Think “cool” when you view this gallery – it might help!
