Normand J. Bosse, 72, of East Boothbay, Maine, passed away peacefully on Sept. 20, 2026, after a brief illness.

Born on Nov. 27, 1953, in North Adams, Massachusetts to Armand and Cecile Bosse, Normand grew up with a deep love for mathematics and computer science. He was a 1971 graduate of Nashua Senior High School in Nashua, New Hampshire and received a bachelor of science degree in applied mathematics from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

He had a long and varied career as a software engineer for several companies including Wang Labs and Thomson Financial.

In 1993, he married the love of his life, Ann (Pierce), and together they shared 33 wonderful years of marriage.

Norm was known for his sense of humor and love of the ocean, plus a deep commitment to all things computer-related, and always enjoyed working on his computer - learning everything he could about an assortment of topics (there was always something new to learn!) - and taking computer-related classes online, plus ham radio, Zooming with his best friend Roy, his friends and family, swimming at the Y, kayaking, drives and adventures along the coast of Maine and gazing out at the ocean while deep in thought.

In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by his sisters Susanne Wall (Nathaniel) of Culpeper, Virginia, and Christine Pelleti er (David) of Merrimack, New Hampshire and their children, Danielle, Nikki and Chip; his best friend Roy Bays and his wife Gloria; his cousins, including Ron Colonna and Barbara Jean Vivenzio; as well as many other loving family members and friends and his beloved cats, Wookie and Romeo.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to Boothbay Region YMCA, Boothbay Harbor, Maine.
