On May 12, 2020, Debora Peters, loving wife, mother of three children, and grandmother of three, passed away suddenly at age 60.

Debora was born on March 9, 1960 in Boothbay Harbor, Maine to Durwood and Nancy (Hardwick) Lewis. She married Robert (Bob) Peters on Feb. 19, 1982.

She was predeceased by her mother Nancy (Hardwick) Lewis and her brother Durwood Randall Lewis.

She is survived by her husband Bob, their three children, Christopher, Adam, and Brian, and her three grandchildren, Zachary, Flynn and Grady, as well as her father Durwood Lewis.

Debora lived most of her life in Boothbay and was a devoted mother, wife and grandmother. Debora was a member of the Eastern Star chapter in East Boothbay, Crescent Chapter #54, and was named Worthy Matron three times. She loved gardening, caring for her plants, feeding her hummingbirds, but most of all her children and grandchildren. Debora adored her three grandchildren and dedicated the latter of her years to taking care of them. Her grandchildren where the light of her life and always came first. “Mimi” was beloved by her grandchildren and their favorite partner in crime.

Debora was constantly smiling, always laughing and forever found the joy in life. She had a bright disposition and an infectious laugh. She would always have a kind word to everyone she met and a joke to share. She loved baking and cooking, but most of all she loved sharing her cooking with her family and friends. Debora graduated from Boothbay Region High School in 1978, and she attended Beauty school in Augusta, Maine.
