Don Carrigan moderates LCTV candidates forum Oct. 18 at Waldo Theatre

    Lincoln County Television invites the public to The Waldo Theatre on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. for a non-partisan, informational Candidates Forum. This one-hour forum will give citizens the opportunity to hear directly from local candidates for the Nov. 8 election.

    Don Carrigan, reporter for News Center Maine, will moderate this free, public event. Each candidate will have the opportunity to introduce themselves at the beginning and offer a closing statement, as well as respond to questions posed by Carrigan.

    Local State Senate and State Representative candidates have been invited to the forum.

    Maine House District 45 (Waldoboro, Bremen, Louds Island, Friendship and Washington): Confirmed: Clint Collamore (D); Invited: Lynn Madison (R)

    Maine House District 46 (Bristol, Newcastle, Monhegan, Nobleboro, Damariscotta): Confirmed: Lydia Crafts (D), Merle Parise (R)

    Maine House District 47 (Alna, Jefferson, Whitefield, and Wiscasset): Confirmed: Les Fossel (I), Evan Goodkowsky (I), Edward Polewarczyk (R)

    Maine House District 48 (Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Edgecomb, South Bristol, Southport and Westport Island): Confirmed: Holly Stover (D); Invited: Tricia Warren (R)

    Maine State Senate District 13 (Alna, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Bremen, Bristol, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Hibberts Gore, Jefferson, Louds Island, Monhegan Island Plantation, Newcastle, Nobleboro, Somerville, South Bristol, Southport, Waldoboro, Washington, Westport Island, Whitefield, Windsor, and Wiscasset): Confirmed: Abden Simmons (R), Cameron Reny (D)

    Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for the free event. The Waldo Theatre is located at 916 Main St. in Waldoboro.

    The Candidates Forum also will be broadcasted live on LCTV Spectrum/Tidewater 7, as well as live streamed at LCTV.org and LCTV’s YouTube channel. After the event, it will be available for On Demand anytime viewing at LCTV.org.
