Edgar J. Krebs
He grew up in Germany and obtained a pastry chef education. He was an undefeated lightweight boxer. He was honored in Manhattan by his German Boxing Club for his impressive undefeated career 20 years ago.
He emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1952. He began work as a pastry chef in local bakeries and then worked for TWA Airlines for over 30 years as a chef.
He enjoyed baking and he loved to make wedding cakes, Christmas cakes, cookies and pastries. He loved living in Boothbay, enjoying the outdoors, and the ocean. He also enjoyed driving and visiting new places.
He loved living in Boothbay and will be missed by all those who knew him and who he came to love.
He was predeceased by his sister, Rita Bihler.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Anna Krebs of Boothbay; sons, Robert Krebs of Boothbay, Dieter Krebs of Wappingers Falls, New York; daughter, Jane Krebs of Boothbay; and brother, Heinz Krebs of Germany.
A family gathering will be held at a later date.
