Edgecomb planning board can't approve application due to setback

All the Edgecomb planning board members agreed: Amy S. and Richard S. Olszewski's application was excellent, but didn't meet the town's setback requirement.
Jan. 15, the board reviewed the application for a 12-foot by 20-foot, one-car storage garage with a single door with a single window on each side, but they ruled it failed to meet the 75-foot setback shoreland zone requirement.
"He really had a beautiful application, it's a shame," said member John Dunlap.
The Olszewskis are summer residents who reside in Franklin, Tennessee. The seasonal property is .14 acres and located on Fort Road.
The board meets next at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29 in the conference room.
