Healthy Lincoln County announces Community Routes pop-up event in Wiscasset Feb. 28
Healthy Lincoln County's Community Routes mobile outreach program will host a free Community Pop-Up Event on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Wiscasset Transfer Station (78 Fowle Hill Road) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event offers an open, welcoming space where neighbors can share resources and access essential supplies at no cost.
Community Routes is an updated version of HLC's previous Mobile Outreach program, bringing essential goods directly to residents across Lincoln County. The program is in its pilot phase, and regular mobile routes will launch later this year. This pop-up is one of the first opportunities for community members to learn about the evolving model, share feedback and help spread the word. Anyone who may benefit from the program is encouraged to reach out, and all community members are welcome to stop by on Saturday morning to see what the team has to offer. Attendees can pick up supplies and sign up to receive future mobile deliveries.
Community Routes strengthens connections across Lincoln County by delivering goods directly to our clients' homes. This program meets people where they are, helping ensure that everyone has access to basics that support health, dignity and safety. Saturday's pop-up event promotes that mission, offering items such as food, clothing, footwear, blankets, harm reduction items, and hygiene supplies — all free to anyone, no questions asked.
The Community Routes team will also be collecting donations of new hygiene supplies, unopened food, gently used clothing, footwear, outdoor gear, and other seasonal items.
Staff will be available to share information about harm reduction, seasonal supports, and local health resources.
