Jacob S. Stark
Jacob Swain Stark passed away on Sept. 6, 2025 in Daytona Beach, Florida shortly after being diagnosed with terminal liver disease.
He was the son of the late Edward Swain and the late Molly Swain Stark. The late John Stark of Boothbay was his grandfather.
Jacob was born March 27, 1991 in Charleston, South Carolina. He grew up in Maine and attended schools in Southport and Boothbay Harbor. He graduated from Boothbay Region High School in 2009. He then attended Southern Maine Community College.
In spite of himself, he excelled in swimming competitions during his school years. Jake loved playing the guitar and owned many of them. In Daytona Beach, he became an accomplished mechanic working on vintage automobiles, his dream job.
He is survived by his sister, Sophia Tedford of Greenbush, Maine; his grandmother, Joan Stark of Boothbay; two uncles, Jamie Stark of Boothbay and Michael Stark and his wife Susan of Marshfield, Vermont. He also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews in Maine, Vermont and New York.
A celebration of his life is planned for a later date at St. Columba's Episcopal Church in Boothbay Harbor.
